Pipetronics: Innovation driver for trenchless house connection rehabilitation

With the latest version of the eCutter lateral, the robot specialist is setting new standards in trenchless house connection rehabilitation.

Pipetronics GmbH & Co. KG, a leading manufacturer of intelligent robot systems, is setting new standards in the field of house connection robotics with the continuous development of its technologies. True to its guiding principle, “Beyond the horizon – efficiency, optimization, and progress with us,” the Baden-Württemberg-based company focuses on its innovative strength to offer users maximum performance, cost-effectiveness, and future-oriented solutions.

With the construction site test phase of the eCutter EL 75 house connection robot (nominal diameters from DN 75 to 100) announced for the end of 2023 and the development of the eCutter EL 200 (nominal diameters from DN 200 to 300), Pipetronics is setting another milestone in the field of trenchless rehabilitation of house connections. The first version of the eCutter lateral, the eCutter EL 100 for nominal diameters DN 100 to 200, which Pipetronics successfully launched on the market several years ago, already impressed with its high performance and precision. Based on user reports and technological innovations, the robot systems were further optimized last year. They now offer users even more application options and further increased cost-effectiveness. "The core element of our eCutter lateral is its modular system, which allows us to tailor the robot very specifically to the customer's needs. Various milling head variants, drum and control units are available, so that the optimum configuration can be found for every application. The modular design of the eCutter lateral also allows cameras, robot heads, and tensioning bladders to be replaced quickly and easily, which in turn ensures high flexibility and ease of maintenance," explains Markus Lämmerhirt, Technical Director at Pipetronics.

Extended milling head variants for even more applications

The eCutter EL 75 model is designed for renovating house connections in narrow pipes. Thanks to its compact design for nominal diameters DN 75 to 100 and its powerful milling motor, it can also be used in problematic and confined areas that are difficult to access. The robot's particularly high milling performance and precise control ensure an optimal milling process and a fast and efficient rehabilitation process. In particular, in conjunction with the intuitive 12-inch control case, the system is already proving impressive in the ongoing test phase: precise operation of the house connection robot with even easier and faster handling.

"Now that our eCutter EL 75 is already successfully undergoing construction site testing, the eCutter EL 200 will follow in the coming months. Its robust construction and extended milling range up to DN 300 will enable it to master even larger challenges in the sensitive house connection area,“ says Markus Lämmerhirt, looking forward to the first test runs of the ”big brother" of the eCutter house connection series.

International success and future-oriented orientation

With the new models of the eCutter lateral, Pipetronics also aims to successfully serve the international market, and the positive response from abroad underscores the potential of the innovative robot system. With a further strengthened and professional sales team, Pipetronics is currently expanding its international presence not only in the DACH region but also throughout Europe. Markus Lämmerhirt, Technical Director at Pipetronics, summarizes the company's philosophy: "We always want to offer our customers the best possible technology and are never satisfied with the status quo. And with the eCutter lateral and its innovative enhancements, we are once again setting new standards in trenchless house connection rehabilitation. They enable our customers to work even more efficiently, economically, and with a focus on the future. As I said: Beyond the horizon!"

CableReel Rotate and Fixed: The new reel units impress in practical use

In addition to new developments in the field of robot heads, Pipetronics is currently launching two further products onto the market: the compact, mobile, and extremely lightweight CableReel Rotate and CableReel Fixed drum units impress with their innovative design: thanks to their low weight and compact size, the drum units are easy to transport and handle. The flexible cable routing of the CableReel Rotate prevents twisting and ensures a long service life for the cables. The usable cable lengths of 25 meters and, optionally, 50 meters make them an absolute highlight. “Even with everyday helpers like these, our work is always guided by customer interest,” emphasizes Pipetronics Managing Director Markus Lämmerhirt.

Pipetronics: A company with vision and responsibility

Today, Pipetronics' portfolio includes a wide range of robots that are perfectly tailored to different pipe diameters and requirements. With innovative technology, a strong focus on customer orientation, and continuous development, the company is paving the way for a sustainable and efficient future in trenchless sewer rehabilitation. The company is committed to the highest quality and responsibility for people and the environment.
